We are heading to Washington, DC, on April 26, to say NO to the Keystone XL pipeline. This time we'll be using a commercial bus.
All the seats are now reserved. If you'd like to get on the waiting list, please follow the two steps below:
 1. fill out the following form and click Submit. If you're paying by check, note that in the Comments.

2. send your full deposit by clicking the Pay Now button, or mail a check (payable to Bus For Progress) to Kathy Maher at 1201 Evergreen Ave, Ocean, NJ 07712.

Day's schedule
The bus will have pickups at the following locations. Please arrive at the pickup location 10 minutes early, so you are ready to hop on the bus when it arrives!
  • 6:30 AM - Wall Township GSP Rest Stop (mile 100). The bus will be in the commuter lot at the very south end (down the hill towards Belmar Blvd.).
  • 7:00 AM - Glory's Market, 584 Cedar Swamp Rd, Jackson, NJ 08527. (corner of  W. Commodore Blvd [CR-526] & Cedar Swamp Rd [CR-527]). Park along the tree line parallel to Cedar Swamp Rd.
  • 7:25 AM - BJ's, 900 Marketplace Blvd., Robbinsville, NJ 08691, just south of exit 5 on I-195. Park in the corner of their lot facing Bank of America.
Our bus will drop us off on the National Mall in Washington, DC, before 11 AM.

What to bring.
  • To make your presence at this protest even more effective, create a meaningful sign to carry.  There will be room under the bus to store even large signs.  Be creative!
  • We recommend bringing comfy shoes, a camera, water and snacks.
  • Please bring a few extra dollars to tip the bus driver at the end of the night if you are pleased with his service.
  • Please print out and sign the liability waiver.

Return

The even is scheduled to end around 2. We'll leave Washington after the event, and stop at the Maryland House rest area for a bite on the way home. Robbinsville is approximately a 3 hour drive from Washington DC, Jackson and the Parkway Rest Area each add another 30 minutes.

Reserving a seat.
At this time all 56 seats are reserved. You can get on the waiting list by filling out the above form and making a $45 deposit (Bus Driver members get a 10% discount). As seats become available, they will be filled from the waiting list in the order deposits were received (if you pay by check, when the check arrives). When a seat is assigned to you, you'll get a confirmation email from Kathy. You can request a refund for a wait-listed seat at any time. Once you're assigned a seat, no refunds will be issued unless someone else takes your seat. (Since this is a commercial bus, our normal cancellation policy does not apply.)

Watch this page or the Facebook event page for updates.
