Stop the Frack Attack

On July 28th, people from all over the country are converging upon Washington, DC for the nation's largest ever demonstration to end the practice of hydraulic fracturing ("fracking"). Thousands will gather on the West Lawn of the Capitol and ask the President and Congress to end all drilling that harms public health, water and air. Visit http://www.stopthefrackattack.org/call-to-action/

We'll ask our government to stop giving special exemptions and subsidies to the oil and gas industry, and instead invest in clean, renewable energy technologies!

As you might have guessed, there is no way the Bus for Progress is going to miss this one!  We are headed for Washington, DC on July 28th with seats for 25 people, and hope you'll be with us!  We welcome aboard our friends from Food & Water Watch, the Sierra Club, and elsewhere!

We'll pick up folks from the Exit 100 rest area on the Garden State Parkway at 8:00 AM, and the Jackson Outlet Mall (just off I-195 and CR-537) at 8:30 AM. We are asking for a $35 donation. Seats are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Proceeds go to keep the Bus for Progress rolling! To reserve your seat, visit http://www.busforprogress.org/events

If you would like to join us but do not have the financial means to do so, please send us an email at info@BusForProgress.org. If you would like to make a donation to Sponsor a Rider (even if you cannot attend yourself), you can donate at http://www.busforprogress.org/events

We are also accepting donations (beginning with $5) to have several large "Stop Fracking" banners printed and mounted on the sides of the bus. They will be seen by hundreds on the highway and throughout Washington. Again, visit http://www.busforprogress.org/events to donate. We'll continue to use these banners for events in the future.

When we arrive in DC, we'll park near the Capitol and join the 2 PM rally with activists, scientists, celebrities and effected citizens. At 3:30, the bus will ride through Washington as part of the march. Whether sitting in the air-conditioned salon or on the roof platform, you'll have the best seat in the house! At about 5:30 PM we'll start to head home, or stop somewhere for dinner together first (depending upon your preference).

Join us to STOP THE FRACK ATTACK – the out-of-control rush to drill that is putting oil and gas industry profits over our health, our families, our property, our communities, and our futures.

Invite friends and family! The more people we can bring, the bigger the statement we'll make! We hope to see you on board!
